Exciting opportunity to join Riverside Community Care as a Therapeutic Support Specialist!

In this vital position, the Therapeutic Support Specialist provides safe, therapeutic, strength-based skill development and resiliency building activities for youth and families, within the home and community.

The focus of these activities support include:

social and recreational engagement

development and maintenance of friendships

maintaining personal boundaries

stress management/relaxation/and mindfulness.

daily living skills (ie: money management/use of public transportation)

secondary education/pre-vocational/career planning and preparations

strategies to prevent and address bullying of others and being bullied.

Schedule: 20 hours per week; flexible hours between 8 a.m. - 8 p.m. to meet the needs of the families

Required Skills:

Valid driver’s license and regular access to a reliable vehicle required.

Required Experience:

Bachelor’s degree or associate degree in mental health related discipline required.

Minimum of 2 years' experience working with youth and families
