The Environment:

- Fast-paced, full-service restaurant setting

- Requires standing or walking for the duration of the shift

- Work pace varies from relaxed to very fast, depending on the day

Schedule:

We are currently hiring a part-time server available to work weekends (Friday to Sunday) with potential additional shifts during the week. Shifts start 3:30 PM - 4:30 PM and run until closing.

The Role:

As a server at Sushi Bistro, you are the face of our establishment. Your responsibilities include:

- Greeting and seating guests

- Suggesting food and sake pairings

- Taking orders and managing to-go requests

- Packing up to-go orders

- Pre-bussing and assisting with table clearance

- Engaging with our community to build a neighborhood-friendly rapport

- Ensuring all dining areas remain clean and well-organized

- Adhering to all health and safety regulations

Primary Responsibilities:

- Welcome every guest at the door to ensure a hospitable experience

- Explain the menu and recommend dishes and pairings

- Manually manage the pacing of table courses

- Communicate directly with the kitchen to address any order discrepancies

- Complete assigned side work and maintain a clean workspace

- Coordinate effectively with both front-of-house and back-of-house teams

Requirements:

- At least 2 years of experience in full-service dining

- Familiarity with Toast POS is advantageous

- Proficient with iPads and other technology used for service

- Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays

- Must obtain a food handler card and ABC server certificate within the first 30 days of employment
