Part-time Elementary Teacher

If you love working with elementary children, if you are loving, patient, humble, diligent, hardworking and kind, if you come home feeling energized and fulfilled after working with children, we want to talk with you. The elementary teacher will be part of a Christian educational team and must be a team player.

The elementary teacher will run a cooperative learning center of approximately 10 to 12 elementary students. The elementary teacher will be responsible for facilitating student learning in the center, assisting students in their activities, monitoring students’ progress, reviewing materials with students, assessing and reporting students’ progress using student portfolios and online reporting software, managing the classroom, and leading a daily Bible lesson for their center. Physical education, music, and art will be led by a separate ACA team member.

Faculty at ACA enjoy the benefit of small classroom sizes and a healthy Christian atmosphere. The salary is competitive with private schools in the area and benefits are available. There is also potential for advancement.

The elementary teacher must have a NYS teacher’s certification or equivalent. Montessori training is preferred, but not required.
