Hiring experienced HVAC technician to teach a Saturday HVAC class.
Houston Trade Training is looking to hire a Saturday HVAC instructor.
Applicants must have a minimum of 4 years HVAC experience and have a Universal EPA license.
Top priority will go to applicants who are bi-lingual and/or have a contractors license. As well as past graduates from HTT.
The job will only be on Saturdays from 10am to 2pm. Each class will be 9 consecutive Saturdays, excluding holiday weekends. Then, usually 2-3 Saturdays off between class end and start of next class.
Pay is $25/hr and up, depending on experience. Guaranteed 4hrs each full class day and 2hrs for orientations and graduations.
After orientation, each class day consists of the following:
Day 0 - orientation.
Day 1 - parts, refrigeration cycle, thermostat wiring, and connecting gauges.
Day 2 - system pump-down, recovery, dehydration, and recharge.
Day 3 - brazing copper tubing.
Day 4 - system wiring, testing capacitors, and motors.
Day 5 - EPA review and some troubleshooting.
Day 6 - ductwork and troubleshooting.
Day 7 - recap and hands-on review.
Day 8 - graduation.
