Strategic Data Implementation: Design and implement business and IT data requirements through innovative strategies across all data platforms (relational, dimensional, NoSQL) and tools (reporting, visualization, analytics, machine learning). Collaborate with business units and application/solution teams to build data flows and develop comprehensive data models (conceptual, logical, physical).

Standards and Governance: Define and enforce data modeling and design standards, tools, and best practices. Ensure consistent development across enterprise data models and oversee the architecture, infrastructure, and interfaces to data sources, emphasizing security and efficiency in data handling and visualization.

Technical Expertise and Development: Conduct hands-on modeling, design, configuration, and installation, along with performance tuning and proof of concept creation in sandbox environments. Utilize advanced programming languages and technologies such as .NET, Python, SQL, NoSQL databases, Docker, Kubernetes, and Azure services to build robust data solutions.

Data Analysis and Insights: Employ statistical data analysis techniques to derive actionable insights from large datasets, aiding in evidence-based decision-making. Manage the stability, quality, and performance of the analytics platforms, including Power BI and SQL Server Analysis Services.

Advanced Analytics Models: Extend and create new PowerBI models, incorporating new members, measures, tables, relationships, and roles in both direct query and import models. Provide high-level support and troubleshooting as the owner of level 3 incident resolutions.

Project and Problem Management: Proactively address project requirements, articulate issues, and challenges to mitigate risks and delivery obstacles. Evaluate the business relevance and requirements of projects to align initiatives with strategic goals.

Service Excellence and Professional Conduct: Actively contribute to the firm’s Service Excellence initiative by enhancing its internal and external image. Display professionalism, quality service, and a proactive "can-do" attitude in all interactions, whether through electronic and print correspondence, over the telephone, or in-person.

What You’ll Bring

Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related business field. A Master’s degree in these fields is preferred.

Minimum of 7 years in roles such as analytics/data engineer, with a strong background in data modeling and analyzing large-scale data using modern cloud computing platforms.

Proficiency in SQL, Python, and T-SQL, with expert knowledge of SQL Server versions 2016, 2019, and 2022.

Extensive experience with cloud environments such as Azure, AWS, Databricks, and Snowflake.

Demonstrated capability in dimensional modeling, star schema, and other data modeling techniques.

Hands-on experience with Microsoft Analysis Services Cube and PowerBI data model implementation using the Tabular model.

Data Science Skills: Understanding of data science principles and practical experience in supporting machine learning models.

Analytical Model Development: Skilled in the development and deployment of analytical models.

Project Management: Proven track record of managing projects using Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Collaborative Skills: Experience in direct collaboration with business representatives to understand and translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Tools Proficiency: Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git.

Communication Skills: Strong ability to communicate effectively across diverse teams and with stakeholders, demonstrating clarity and professionalism in all forms of communication.

Experience with integration to ERP Systems (Oracle / SAP) preferred

Working knowledge of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) preferred
