The American Red Cross is seeking a General Maintenance & Fleet Technician to work at our Burlington Red Cross Blood Center in Burlington, VT.

Offer includes a $1,500 sign-on bonus.

Will require on-call responsibilities.

The General Maintenance & Fleet Technician will assist with the management of fleet operation for the Region. Will perform repairs and maintenance in the Biomedical facility. The General Maintenance & Fleet Technician typically performs work in one or more of the maintenance trades: carpentry, plumbing, painting, machine and equipment repair, electrical, sheet metal fabrication, and welding. Conduct routine, periodic, or special inspections to determine repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent breakdowns of facilities, machinery, and equipment. Use hand and power tools to test, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair machines and equipment. Provide support, development and/or leadership guidance to all volunteers.

Facility is 32,000 sq. feet. Also, will manage a fleet of 13 vehicles.
